Costa Rica has countless places for you to visit, but we have 5 recommendations for you to explore first.

Puerto Viejo

Puerto Viejo is a paradisiacal beach located on the Caribbean coast, where its crystal clear waters and incredible landscapes are its greatest attraction. If you are a fan of activities that connect you with nature, here you’ll be able to practice surfing, snorkeling, and hiking.

Near the old Puerto Viejo you can find beaches such as Manzanillo, Cocles, Punta Uva and the Cahuita National Park.

You can also visit the Tortuguero National Park, where you can go on excursions to get to know the flora and fauna that it offers as well as the variety of birds, the famous turtles, and participate in activities such as canoeing and guided walks.

Manuel Antonio

Manuel Antonio is a small town, but it has a great variety of attractions for you to enjoy your visit. This destination offers you different beaches to visit such as Playa Gemelas, Playa Espadilla, and Playa Biesanz.

Its main beach, Manuel Antonio, is the most recommended for swimming, where you will have the opportunity to see monkeys in their natural habitat.

In the incredible Manuel Antonio National Park, you will find diverse flora and fauna where there are 109 species of mammals, 352 birds, and countless marine animals.

We recommend taking professionally guided tours to visit mangroves and go hiking in the park.
